Okay, did anyone else read the article that prompted this thread? And if so, did you notice one particularly hilarious quote?

Ummmm…maybe they didn't receive a bonus for their 2008 performance because their 2008 performance totally sucked? That's why their stock holdings and options are worthless…they ran a government sponsored entity into the ground with their performance. Why are they trying to retain the very people that put them in the position they face today? It is unbelievable the way our country suddenly appears to be embracing failure and mediocrity.
If she knows how to say "no", how did she wind up with all of those kids?
Just kidding, I love Sarah. I thought she brought a lot of energy and momentum the moment she burst on the stage the the RNC. I believe that if the economy hadn't tanked and if McCain had been a stronger candidate that we'd be seeing a lot of her in the news today instead of Gaffe-a-minute-Joe.
I've said the same things to people, guess that is why I like this site. Our congress is corrupted by monies they get from lobbists & large corporatiions. We've a coporate America. Both parites are corrupted. My husband & I are trying to get the word out and start our own hometown group. We are not talking party lines. I want all Americans who hold true to our freedoms to attend. I'm as tired of talking politics with one party vs. the other as I am tired of being politically correct. Let freedom ring. I want our group to read, and remember all the rights we started with and hold true to the principles Glen laid out.

Seems to me everybody is mad at the politians(lol) in Washington ….just not at there own! Do you think the MAIN STREAM San Francisian are going to vote out Queen Polisi, no way . Watchman I am opposed to anyone capping income. I am a capitalist and people should be allowed to make what they want. Capping incomes is borderline communism telling people what they can or cannot make. We just need to vote all the bums out.

Freemanredneck, you are right, Sir! This is an American problem and goes far beyond party lines or affiliations. We NEED a party that IS "of the people, by the people and FOR the people." How about "the people" party. This way WE, the American people can Govern this Nation as it was intended in our Constitution and thus rid our Capital once and for all of the "CLING ON'S!" In this new party we could "cap" the maximum yearly income earned in the private sector to $100,000.00 and anyone who earns more than that is NOT eligible to run for office. Doing this we keep the people that we put in office at our grass roots level who can UNDERSTAND our plights, needs and wants, because they've been there. Also, a two term limit and then they get kicled to the curb, figuratively speaking of course!
Thanks for your service, Bob! I have to admit the tone in may emails to my reps has been getting a little more tense as well. I'll be more than happy to kick it up a notch more if they make me.
My disabled friend and I are starting to plan to walk (or in his case, ride his motorized wheelchair) to Washington just before 9/12 and challenge Barry, Harry and Nanny to meet with us at a table on the steps of the capital and ask them why they hate America so much. No private offices, conference rooms or teleprompters allowed. Just three on two in broad daylight. Everyone is invited to attend and we will surround them on their own turf. Cardboard cutouts of torches and pitchforks will be encouraged, leave the real ones at home. We must keep it peacefully and organized. The strength of millions of fed up Americans showing on the front lawn of the capital and white house cannot be overlooked by the drive by media. For those who cannot get to DC, form groups at your homes, workplaces, favorite watering holes, diners or wherever and let's see if these three are as dedicated as we are. My money says they won't show and debate.

Here here!! I was very active in The Young Republicans in the early 90's. I wasted my evenings and weekends stuffing envelopes, knocking on doors and making phone calls for bums like Lindsey Graham to get elected only to have them abandon me! I haven't donated a dime of my money or a minute of my time to the Republican party in 12 years and never will again. We need people in office who know what it is like to grind it out in a small business day after day – struggling to make ends meet – struggling to overcome the obstacles Washington puts in the way of the entrepreneur. Not career beltway insiders!!

I know that Glenn set up this project but I can also see how upset he is too! But I believe he can not physically get involved because of his journalism license. They're already trying to silence the conservatives, like Beck and Hannity. But you're right ~ its up to us. We need to start a movement somehow and quick! I knew America would never be the same after 911, but I had no idea, it would come to this..
One thing I would like to see happen. I would like for somebody, anybody to put together a report on how much of this country's tax money is spent on defending new laws and taxes that were found un-constitutional written by people that have zero concept of the constitution. .. I am willing to bet the amount spent in the last 5 years could pay off our national debt…..
