To all Veterans, I want to say, Thank You for all your service to this great nation.
I just want to say that President Obama is no Commander in Chief or any thing else.
He is betraying all of us, he is a two face lier.
I am very angry and am not going to take this anymore. He is trying to make us veterans to

I am angry and am not going to take this anymore. I have a nephew in Kuwait serving and I demand that he have veterans health care when he gets out of the army. I have a cousin in a VA hospital and he better not have any level of care reduced. What is the big O thinking? Is he really trying to destroy America or is he jus incompetent?
I may be somewhat off base here, but did anyone consider that the big picture may involve a National Workman's Compensation Program similar to what the states have already. To make this short and to the point.. If so, do you think it will pad the pockets of many Lawyers that our wounded troops will need to get compensation for their on the job injuries. Currently the States program does it very well, meaning padding the pockets of lawyers!!!…. This is just a thought.
What the hell is going on up in DC would be a prudent question at this point?
This is just a further big fat SLAP in the face to our true patriots and heros , maybe it is focused on driving a wedge between us.
Raising taxes, making tougher gun laws, taking from those who work and giving to those who won't, etc. etc.etc.

I have an idea. Why don't we all start boycotting Hollywood, MSNBC, CNN and the myriad of media outfits who gave us this Stalinistic, anti-American, blow hard, false messianic, Chicago politics thug, period!
First of all, to all the veterans—I want to say < Thank You> for your service and you have my utmost gratitude and respect. 2nd, as American Patriots what can we do? All of us that love this great land are going to be needed to stand up against this demon? Seriously, someone please give some viable suggestions, do we just sit back and be appalled day after day while this freak deliberately runs this country into the ground? WHAT can be done?

Now granted, he just went on to do the Stamp Act to make more $$ for England, but THAT was when the colonists said enough and shortly after started the Revolution. We're not that far yet– we're at the tea party stage. We need to get to the governement boycott– something that WE control that will have that same reverberation. I don't know what it is yet– civil disobedience, taxpayers revolt, census boycott……..I'm working on it. Anyone else with suggestions?
What really gets me about this is, illegal aliens get totally paid medical. I know of a woman who has had three liver transplants at UCLA. She is awaiting her fourth. All of this paid by the resident taxpayers of California. Each transplant is $470,000. That's right and NOT one dime out of her pocket. You know what her attitude is? "I've been here a long time and they should take care of me." She's 26! Long time? How about our veterans who fought for this country and built it. This country is turned upside down and inside out.
You know, I read stuff like this and I really struggle not to hate Obama. I was a nurse in a VA hospital in MO and I loved that job because of the patients. It was the only place I ever worked where I would see patients fighting pancreatic cancer and still make their own beds. It disgusts me that Obama would stoop this low as to take away service-connected benefits from vets who have already served. I have miniscule expectations of Obama anyway, but this takes the cake. Not only is it fundamentally unfair, but it is potentially dangerous. Who in the world would join the military now and protect us in the future? Why would anybody do that? Maybe Obama doesn't care because he'll have his "brownshirts" ready anyway. I just want to cry.
Thank you, every Vet, no matter where or when you served. Your "president" may not value you, but your real people do.
Yes he is a joke!!! It is so very sad that he was elected President, and he is laughing in our faces. He is killing our country. We have to elect politicians that have our interest at heart, not their own! These people work for us not themselves. It is time for Americans to stand up and say ENOUGH! These billions that are being abused are our billions not theirs!
Why not take health care away from our veterans? They only put their lives on the line for us every day of the week. They don't need to be taken care of when they come home. What the hell does our government think they are doing? They need to pull their heads out of their *****!!! Come on people! What is America coming to when we take from those that give the most for freedom? Health care for veterans is a tax I would be willing to pay without being sour about. These are the things that are really important. Also, this would be a great way for those who cannot or would not serve to do their part.
Like I said in a previous post I've been going to the VA since around 2004. When I received 100% rating, my wife was able to be seen at the VA by paying a modest co-pay. That changed sometime in 2005 or so, she is not allowed to be seen at the VA now. Her insurance is now ChampVA, she has to see a doctor that accepts ChampVA insurance. I had to take her to an ER for kidney stones, with the insurance it cost me $600 out of pocket for the ER visit, on a fixed pension from the VA it was hard to come up with the money to pay the fee.
Around the same time I noticed that when I would go for a scheduled VA doctors appointment they always ask if your current residence, and phone number are correct, and have added "Do you have any other insurance to that interview, this was before Odrama was elected. Apparently they want to charge other insurance companies, Medicare etc. for your visit. Strange…… this was happening before Odrama was elected. My theory is this is something the Bush Administration or Congress put in to action. I was told that if you have medicare they can charge them for your visit.
My guess it's a way to off-set the costs of current Vets that are coming into the system from the two current Middle East wars at an alarming rate……instead of increasing the VA budget!
This seemed to be under the radar….. I had never heard of it until my wife was no longer able to make an appt. at the VA.
Have any other Vets that go to the VA Hospital(s) noticed this?
The VA is currently charging medicare. Both my husband & I are vets. My husband is a Vietnam vet. When I go to the VA, they act like they don't want to treat the both of us at the same time. The reason we were given is that we are married. My husband, about 6 months ago started getting medical bills charged to his medicare for medicines he did not want. I tried to get my husband on ChampVA, but they wont let him because Im service connected. I think the VA is yanking our chain.
But Obama is full of crap.
My husband was medically discharged 14 years ago and regularly visits the VA for medical care. He just recently received notice from our private insurance carrier that the VA made claims for payment on his visit to cover the disabilities that they promised to provide care for. Our private insurance provides care for our children, myself and my husbands illnesses not related to his disability. The VA should hold up their end of the bargain. They promised to provide care for his disabilities. No one notified us that our private insurance was going to be claimed. If we wanted our insurance to pay for it, we would just choose a much better physician and more timely appointment schedule , (Pay higher premiums) and avoid the VA altogether. The VA is just trying to get out of their responsibilities.
I am completely speechless. I cannot even understand how anyone, let alone the President of the United States, the Commander in Chief of the greatest military in the world, could say that our soldiers should pay for the treatment of injuries they suffered serving their country. That is one tax I would suffer gladly.
I am with you!!! How could the President even think that our soldiers, who have and do fight for our freedoms, would die for any of us even think that they should pay for their own medical care. That is our responsibility, that is the least we can do for our soldiers!!!!! Thank you to all who have fought and are fighting for me to be free!!!!
Just wanted to say that as a veteran myself, unfortunately, the military docs asking if you have extra health insurance has been going on since Clinton days. Got out in 97, and they were asking this before then. Haven't had to go to vet clinic yet but I imagine if they were asking active-duties this back then, I would say they had been asking the vets since about the same time. Thank you for your service!
No, but they do the same thing to the the AD members too. We weren't asked hardly ever at all (maybe once a year) if we had other insurance. Now we're asked every time we make an appointment. We pay extra for my and my children's health insurance (my husband is the duty member). I've also know less availability for appointments (it was REALLY bad in the DC region where we just were). I didn't want to bring any of my family to the military ER because it took so long. Forbid you should have a real emergency. There are no urgent care appointments anymore, which is bad for mom's like me. I mean come on I would really like to take my kids to urgent care when I needed to. They are also increasing the co-pays which is aggravating. We're okay, but some really can't afford that. His latest this is insane to have private insurance cover war related injuries. One of 2 things will happen. Either companies won't cover these vets (under preexisting condition clause) or the rates for vets will cost a lot more. Either way it's a just a disgusting thought. Patriots should be rewarded and honored. Thank you for your service.
All Vets and Active Duty military families should write a letter to General Shinseki (VA Secretary) and express their feelings to him. Shinseki should be ashamed of himself for standing with President Obama on this issue. This is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen done to our military. They and their families have made the ultimate sacrifice for this country. Now the extreme left wing wants to implement this to get back at the Bush Administration for IRAQ and Afganistan wars. This is shameful and Shinseki should resign from his post if he values his Service and Honor.
Hear hear! As an American living overseas, my options for news are somewhat limited but the coverage coming out of DC makes one cry and ask "what can we do?". It's real scary to watch/read the coverage but I also believe our country is great and it's because of people who care (everybody on this blog), we can survive. Just remember, we have to let our reps know how we're feeling and we must vote–our greatest power. I'm a Dem who voted for McCain; I used to be Repub til early 90s, but now I'm in search of a different party if either of these 2 parties can't correct their behavior. Glenn Beck may actually persuade me to become Libertarian as the points he brings up are all valid and someone needs to bring them up; thank God for Beck!!!
I am not a vet, but have nothing but utmost respect for our warriors, as our president apparently does not. I am appalled at Obama's current proposal. I am a contractor, and must furnish my own health care off the free market. I have a proposal for Mr. Obama, since he has asked for detractors to do so, to recoup funds for use in his health care plans. As a contractor, I see our congress people as contractors as well. They are hired for a fixed term, 4/6 years. I say make them provide for their own health care, and take away their privileged status and fend for themselves just as us "common" people have to. Take the savings to fund health care for our veterans. Not only will we have saved money to use elsewhere, but this would give our so called representatives new found incentives to improve the private sector health care plans. And while we're at it, take away their "gold plated" retirement plan, and make them fend for themselves, just as I have to. The cost savings would be phenomenal, and it would put them in touch with us "common" people. How 'bout it O, Nancy & Harry? Care to fend for yourselves like you expect us to, or will you choose to remain "elitists", or should we just "eat cake"?

We can blame mainstream media for "O's" election–they failed to ask the tough questions and they failed to demand answers to tough questions. However, one must not overlook the fact that the general populace is to blame as they failed to demand the mainstream media do their jobs. As someone who voted for McCain, I woke on the morning of the inauguration with a sense of hope, must admit; promised to give O the benefit of the doubt and a chance but not happy with anything coming out of DC. Less than 2 years and we can elect a change, one to mirror Clinton administration w/ genuine bipartisanship when Gingrich was speaker.
I knew this FOOL was a lefty, but if he goes anymore left, he'll fall of the edge of the earth. Ooh, I guess that would be good news. Every day my blood pressure goes up when I hear the next idiotic thing these people want to do. They are so worried about giving free health care to every dead beat and illegal in this country, but not the military?&(@#^#$%% I cry, literally, when I see what is happening to this country. I also want to thank our military. I grew up with a Marine father, my brother is retired Marine, and my nephew is currently serving. I am so mad at this administration and I see the most hateful people in it. One sends dead fish to people he has problems with. What is that? Mobsters from Chicago!! Can't people see this? Have they been brainwashed and is it really that easy to brainwash so many people? We have to stand up and not re-elect 90% of the congress and senate and get Obama out of office before he kills America as we once knew it.
Unfortunately, many people do not know their history. Obama came around at a time when people were looking for any small glimmer of hope and thus fed them what they wanted. Another individual did the same for Germany during early 1930s and look what happened. For someone who professes to know a lot of history by comparing himself to a number of individuals of history (FDR, Lincoln, JFK), Obama fails to compare himself to someone else who emerged onto the national scene in basically the same fashion.

I just saw this reported on Bret Bauer on Fox just a minute ago. I will not watch CNN or MSNBC, so I don't know if those networks aired this news of Obama waging war on the veterans. Regarding CNN, I did read an article they published on this matter.
I'm currently mobed in the army and I'll be damed if my son joins the military. I'm so upset with this country that as soon as i retire my family is moving out of it. Sure after more than 20 years of service I think I've earned the money I'll spend on forgien soil. I'll never forget or fail in my duties and respect of this nation, but sooner or later there will be a new civil war against the gov't and it's people who seem not to mind sucking the life blood out of this country to fill their pockets with gold for themselves and families. So I'll retire with a smile and as I watch the gov't burn on the local news as the US goes from a powerhouse to a 3rd world country. I am sorry to hear that, and I am really concerned for this country as well. I am livid about the betrayal this administration is dishing out to the military and honorable people. But please remember that this country is not betraying you. "We the people" love and care for the military and you can see how disturbed and angered we are about this news. I went to the VFW website and apparently this has been in the works for a bit. They, and several other veteran groups, had written a letter to Obama on February 27th, 2009 to express their disdain for this proposal. It isn't something that just came up today it would seem although today is the first we've heard of it . You can go to the VFW website and read the letter in its entirety there.
It would seem the new president has been a very busy little bee right from the git go. I have to wonder what else he has been up to behind our backs that we simply haven't heard about yet. This would explain why it seems like all of this is coming at us so fast. He's giving us change alright…you can believe it.
I am so angry that I can hardly see straight. I was an Air Force wife for 22 years and I am an Army mom. My son had been out of the Marine Corps about 2 months and reenlisted on 9/12. This FOOL thinks that we want to bail out all of the companies that couldn' t keep themselves solvent and NOT pay for anything that our military may need. He shoulod be impeached.
Being a 'former spouse' I was entitled to healthcare for life (as long as I pay the premium). Since I had the audacity to remarry I lost that. I thought that that was bad as my marital status has nothing to do with the fact that I did spend those years moving all over the world in support of our country. Sorry, I'm ranting. Obama can afford his own healthcare and so can the congress and senate, how much money can the country save by eliminating their coverage??
After thinking about this a bit. my theory is, call me crazy, that this is a way to force Health Ins. companies out of business, by having them defray the cost of Veterans Health care, by higher premiums, that people cannot afford, and will not pay. It helps pave the way to justify National Health Care (Socialized Medical Care).

I am a military wife, and I am disgusted by this thought process. Not only is Obama doing this, but he is going to force dependents to pay for their own care, and he's raising the rates on veterans too. The old vets were promised, upon signing their contract, "free healthcare for life!" That didn't last long. We must uphold the contracts for AIG but not the vets? I call bull on that thought process. McCain's idea of healthcare during the campaign was lambasted, and said to not provide enough for people to afford healthcare, yet Obama's, for us military folk, is much much less. This is just one more slap in the face to our military, and I am disgusted. If America can let this go, and allow this to be implemented, than I would like those Americans to do this job, and live this life, and see how thankless it has become.
In 1917 the Russians had a revolution. A number of things had to be done in order for the USSR to come into being:
1. The media must be controlled to preach the party line to the masses.
2. Guns had to be taken out of the hands of the masses.
3. Wealth must be taken from the rich and controlled by the state. (Let's
call this taking from the rich and giving to the NEEDY)
4. Organized religion must be suppressed and discouraged. (the government
will give us this day our daily bread)
5. Maintain strict control over schools' and universities' curriculum.
6. Initially, the military must be weakened until the party can take
control of it.
7. All critical services (medical etc.) must be controlled by the state.
8. The population must be made totally dependant on the government (this
provides a means to control them).
I can go on, but you get the idea. Doesn't this sound familiar? Can't people see what the liberals are doing? The USSR was an experiment in government that didn't work. It took them over 70 years to discover the error and they still haven't been able to repair the damage! Watching the course we're apparently taking sure scares me!
Citizens need to become aware of what is being jammed down their throats by Obama & Co. The "workers' utopia" thing has been tried over and over. It DOESN'T WORK!
I'm a retired USAF veteran who served 3 years in Berlin. This country is starting to remind me of what I used to see on the other side of the wall. No, this administration is no friend to the military. They may not be very friendly to anyone who believes in the Constitution.
This will be on Fox News during the 6pm hour! I think Obama has figured out an end-around on this one…put everone on nationalized healthcare, then it won't matter who pays for what! I just contacted my federal representatives about this…I encourage everyone else to do the same.
It seems the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) has also stood up to Odrama.

I'm 100% disabled, after discovering I had PTSD in 2004, that's 29 years after I was Honorably Discharged from the USMC. I wont go into the details but suffice it to say I am getting the care I need from the VA (in it's current form). However, with the advent of Odrama I fear that my benefits will be eroded to nothing. I'm 58, and cannot work. Yes, I'm on an 'entitlement', which, at times I feel guilty about. If that goes away, my wife of 34 years and I will be on the street. I am really afraid that this could become a reality, call me paranoid

On behalf of Veterans everywhere I ask you to please write your Reps & and Senators about Odramas plan and ask them to counter any legislation that is dangerous to Disabled Vets every-where. 'Nuff said. Thank you!

As someone who served for 20 years, I am sad to report the contract states quite clearly any benefits can be altered by Congress at any time. I heard another rumor I am attempting to substantiate. That is retirement benefits will be stopped for those under 62 and become a "normal" retirement instead of a "retainer" system.
It is sickening to see how badly some hate freedom and those who keep freedom alive. Two Faced *@#%#@$ does not even come close.
Remember the battle cry – "Hate the war but Love the troops"? Yeah I keep pushing the "I believe" button, but the facts remain. If you disagree with freedom as a way of life, why would you support those who maintain it?
Navy vet here, with great private health insurance. Praise God, I am healthy and never wounded, but this has me pissed enough to eat nails!!! I can honestly accept that Pres. Obama is a left wing nut, who wants to spend us into the ground and believes the government is the answer to all problem…except the heath care of the nations wounded warriors!!!

I am a 20 year veteran of the US Air Force. During that 20 years I was told the Air Force takes care of it's own, free medical and dental for life, and proof was given in the form of retirees using the military hospitals and dental clinic. For the first few years Champus covered me and my family, The Congress changed the contract and instituted Tri-Care. Now, I have to pay for the “Privilege” of using the “Free Medical Care”, forget the Dental, That's space available. (Only, Coffee breaks and water cooler time comes before retirees.)
When I retired in 1993, two Colonels filed a law suit because they were told that they had reached the age when Medicare took over. At a time when income becomes fixed, medical cost go up! (Yet, Congressional retirees keep the benefits. Don't think of the Gold Rule [He who has the Gold, Makes the Rules. Or I got mine, the rest can keep trying.])
Now I see where the Government wants to make veterans have their civilian insurance pay for the wound in combat for this Country's defense. “The American Legion Strongly Opposed to President's Plan to Charge Wounded Heroes for Treatment”, … The Commander, clearly angered as he emerged from the session said, "This reimbursement plan would be inconsistent with the mandate ' to care for him who shall have borne the battle' given that the United States government sent members of the armed forces into harm's way, and not private insurance companies. Please tell your Congressmen, House Representatives, and our President to keep their promise, that contract I and all veterans signed. Don't let them “rob Peter to pay Paul”. Fund the military to support the servicemen and service women that have and do protect this union of people.

We should also contact the new's agencies sponsors and tell them if the the news is not reported, then we will no longer purchase their products. EVERYONE — CONTACT THE SPONSORS DEMANDING THAT THE NEWS AGENCIES REPORT THE NEWS!!!!!!!!!
This is appalling. The very people who keep our freedom safe for all of us are going to be penalized big time. If we all, and all our friends, get a 27 cent postcard, address it to Pres. Barack Obama, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington D.C. 20500, and tell him to LEAVE VETERANS' BENEFITS ALONE OR RAISE THEM, and send thousands to him – maybe, just maybe, he'll get the idea.
Ex-military have skills taught to them by the ones that wont take care of them. Isn't it time to use those skills to install 3 new branches of government ?
It is time all citizens of sharpen our skills, and surround the White House and Capital Hill, and one by one, throw them in Jail for Treason! If we have the help of current an prevoius military personel, so much the better!
If anyone on this earth deserves Healthcare and anything we can do to make their lives easier ..it's our Men and Women in the military that have fought to keep us safe. This doesn't shock me..No liberals appreciate the Military..they blame them for everything…The Veterans should Picket to keep Michelle Obama OUT of their facilities!
So I put my rage and fury over this assault on our veterans to good use. I emailed the folks representing my state in the house and senate. I emailed the commander of the American Legion. I emailed CNN, NBC and even BBC. Will it make any difference? I do not know. But I had to do something other than stomping around my house giving the cat evil looks. Maybe if others do the same and we make enough noise they will leave our military people alone.

I'm confused how this thread works because I just posted and have no idea where my post went. Anyway, I understand your comment. I have also contact ABC, NBC, CBS (for what it is worth) and told them I will not watch their shows until they start reporting the news. I'm also going after their sponsors. This has worked in the past and hopefully will now too. Contact the advertisers and inform them that you will not buy their products or services until the news is reported. If we get enough people doing this and the sponsors get these comments, maybe they will pull their advertisements or at least contact the news agencies. It's worth a try.
It has become apparent to me that we have begun to loose control over the very government that was created to protect us. A president that is so full of arrogance that he is no longer willing to listen to common sense, one that has given his own wisdom a higher value than any other is a dangerous one at that. By taking away the ability of a service person to obtain medical care for injury or condition due to said service, he is forcing those that have followed the orders of this government to forgo treatment that is needed. If this passes and the practice is put into place, we as the people in this country should no longer support the excesses in our government. To make it simple, if they will not provide for the care of our disabled or injured service men, we can no longer provide funds for programs like planned parenthood and national endowment for the arts, Congress should no longer be allowed the health care they have nor should the president. These things alone will recover the $550 million the president wants to recover.

When you put an America Hater in the Whitehouse, you will see your tax dollars (along with your children's, grandchildren's, and great-grandchildren's) being given to deadbeats and political hack friends, and even to our enemies (spell that Hamas), while being taken away from those who truly need assistance and have sacrificed for this once great country. I did two years in Viet Nam serving my country in full faith that I was doing so for the good of my country and countrymen. Now, almost 40 years later, I see my borders wide open to invaders, my job taken by an invader, my tax dollars given to invaders in the form of Medicare, Food Stamps, Housing Assistance, In-State Tuition, Free Health Care (at emergency rooms paid for by my insurance), prisons full of invaders who have committed crimes, Invader Drug Cartels (gangs) shooting up my townspeople and streets. But, we can't afford to take care of those whose lives have been so drastically altered by the wounds of war. Thanks B.O.!
Generally speaking, these people don't even consider important the people they USE and feel are beneath them. This administration considers the military and the Vets only as SERVANTS of the people and that the 'Commander in Chief' doesn't need to understand them only needs to order them,. Sad state of affairs !!
I heard this rumor earlier today and was shocked I had not seen this in the news. I couldn't believe it when I saw that this was true. This absolutely brings tears to my eyes to think about and a sickening feeling to my stomach. I met my husband ten years ago while serving in the Army. He is still serving in the Army Reserves. I have never been an activist before but for this cause I will fight to the end! This insanity must stop. I have had enough of Obama!!!

I, as a citizen, and a veteran (101st Airborne) am telling you now that Obama has an agenda to "change" our Country in a way that will make people like you and me consider a tea party that Washington will not forget. Hi,I am an Army vet and mom of a soon to be Army JAG officer; so proud of her I can't stand it… I also can't stand our new president's arrogance and sly disregard for those who have sacrificed so much. Hmmm….I don't see the Washington Post picking up on this or any other local paper; wonder why???? I am so appalled by this I am almost spitting nails! What gall, and especially with his wife making such a big show of her concern for military families! Shame on them and the new administration!
I'll say it again, these people are evil. Our system of government is not designed to withstand evil leaders, which is why the nation is on the brink right now. This story is only outrageous if you believe that Obama means to do well. If Obama and his teleprompter wish to do evil, then this story is just yet another example of just how bad it will get if we don't figure out a way to stop him.
You have to stop looking at these policies as logical, I don't understand, even with evil as the motive, what benefit Obama or the Administration could gain from 80% of the policies they're instituting, yet they do it anyway. So, we're looking at evil for evil's sake.
There seem to be a lot of Vets in this forum and I would like to thank all of you for your service. I've been wondering about the fact that our political leaders,most of them , don't respect our founding fathers, The Constitution or the freedoms that so many have died for. At what point does our military have a duty to overthrow these corrupt thieves and defend the freedoms of the people?
I agree. Thank you to all the Vets. You have given us more than we can ever reapy. I think Obama would rather give Healthcare to our welfare reciepients rather than to our veterans. He is a joke and needs to fail.
We are a retired Navy family and when you read these articles about the military it is very heartbreaking.
If Obama would have just read the last omnibus bill line by line like he promised and eliminate 1 or even 2
earmarks the money for the vets would have been found. Each day his actions proves he has no respect
for this country, the people who work in it, but most of all the people who serve and willing to die for it.

Pardon my language, but this is freaking outrageous. It is a total disgrace, and Obama should be deeply ashamed of himself for even THINKING of it, letting alone PROPOSING it! How in the name of all that is holy can he look anyone in the eye and suggest that those injured protecting this country should rely on private insurance to pay for their treatment?! This is beyond the pale! And if his real purpose behind this move is to make private insurance so expensive that we must rely on government health care, he is a fool! If you want everyone to have access to health care, here's a hint, Obama: you do it by making private health care more affordable, NOT by advocating government-run healthcare!! I do not currently have health insurance, suffer from numerous conditions and have trouble paying for the medication that is the basic requirement for me to LIVE, and I do not believe government-sponsored health care is the solution to my dilemma!
Perhaps you are right. Obama is also thinking about taxing the insurance benefits that people receive through their employers.
I cannot imagine asking someone to serve our Nation in the military forces, and yet being unwilling to insure that all of their medical needs are met on the taxpayer's dime! This is dishonorable. This makes me ill. And most of all, this makes me ashamed!
I am very appalled at what is happening here. I served in Iraq but was not injured. I did 22yrs in the service and I am glad I got my papers with a Bush signature. We need to march on Washington. Not just the injured soldiers, but all Vets that have served. Once again we are used. I was proud to serve as most are. LETS MARCH
So tell me, what private ins. company will ever cover a veteran? Will some poor soldier who took shrapnel be denied coverage because of a "pre-existing" condition? I think this is how he plans to weaken our military. Who on earth would commit their lives to this government if the govt wont promise to help heal the wounds earned through defending her?

I admit he has only been in office for a short time, however as the saying goes "Rome was not built in a day" is true, it did burn to the ground in a few hours!
This probably won't get posted, but I have to try. As a VET, I don not think Glenn Beck is much of a Man. He goes on the program, cries like a little lady, yet has the go nads to Monitor, or Censor what all of us write. They may not like what we have to say, but in my opinion, they are doing exactly the same thing as Hussein. He would have all of US shut up. Why does Beck want things just his way? Speech, thoughts and opinions should all be heard, No matter what is said. This P/C Bull–it is what has brought us to this very point. When enough people and Vets have had enough, then and only then will we gain the strength to take back OUR NATION.
